“#daddy” at A.R.T./New York Theatres
The play #daddy, written and directed by Chris, was presented as part of The Hispanic Federation’s Queer Arts Festival in its 2025 edition. The play takes place in a New York City apartment, a gay father and his Queer son navigate the ups and downs of living under the same roof. For an LGBTQ+ kid raised in a conservative world, having a Queer parent feels like a dream come true… until cultural and generational tensions spark unexpected friction. With a diverse, colorful cast and sharp comedy, #daddy is a vibrant, heart-driven journey through love, identity, and the complexities of family. Pictures by Krystal Pagán.

The play went on to win the Festival’s top award, “Best Play”
Highlighting the play’s originality, sharp wit, and heartfulness, the awarding committee of FuerzaFest decided to award #daddy as the “Best Play” of the festival. It was subsequently acquired for distribution by Tiny Scripted.
“The Two Deaths of Saint Sebastian” at Dixon Place
As part of Dixon Place’s “HOT” Festival, a Work-In-Progress version of the play “The Two Deaths of Saint Sebastian” was presented on its mainstage. The play was written by Chris and co-directed by Chris and Adriana Nocco.
A look into the life (or afterlife) of the unofficial Patron Saint of gay boys. Saint Sebastian spends his days in Heaven, where he has befriended fellow martyr Saint Agatha (early Christian whose breasts were cut off and is always represented carrying them on a platter) in shared disillusion of eternity. That is until Sebastian gets a desperate prayer from a Queer kid. According to Catholic dogma saints are intercessors -carriers of intentions to God- but can’t intervene themselves. In this Queer, Catholic fantasy Sebastian is faced with the first moral question of his death.
